Why create a trainer for a game everyone has played and beaten a hundred times. Well....I don't know the answer to that. I felt that the Chris scenario is a bit too hard for newbies and thought a trainer would do the job for them. Making this trainer has been no less than a nightmare. Using the trainer is a bit tricky too unless you know what you're doing.
There are 8 tags that say "Life" and with a bracketed number. In the trainer write the number in the bracket in the adjacent box. e.g.; If it says "Life (63)" then input 63 in the box adjacent to it and freeze the tag.
Enter the following values in the corresponding boxes and freeze them:
Life (63) - 63
Life (63) - 63
Life (3) - 3
Life (255) - 255
Life (255) - 255
Life (14) - 14
Life (255 ) - 255
Life (140) - 140
-------------------------[The above values represent Chris' life] ------------------------------
The next tags are named 1st-5th Slot and 4th (copy). These represent the six slots available to Chris to carry items. Freeze those slots in which you are carrying guns/ink ribbons/herbs . Enter any number you want.
1st Slot - Any number here
2nd Slot - Any number here
3rd Slot - Any number here
4th Slot - Any number here
5th Slot - Any number here
4th (Copy) - Any number here [This is the 6th slot for your items in the inventory]
----------------------------[The above are the six slots available to Chris to carry items] -------------
In the first eight tags, that represent Chris' life, enter ONLY the number suggested. The last six tags represent the six slots available to Chris to carry items. Freeze those slots in which you are carrying guns/ink ribbons/herbs. Enter any number you want. Like if you have your Shotgun in the 5th Slot then freeze the "5th Slot" of the trainer but remember that when you discard items the items left in the menu will occupy the newly vacant slot. Like if you have the handgun in the 2nd slot and a key in the first, after discarding the key your handgun will be in the 1st slot.
So better keep the Ink-Ribbon in the 1st slot and your primary weapon in the 2nd slot and freeze only those two slots. Do remember to enter some number whenever you freeze a tag or else it turns to 0.
This screen shot should clear things up - http://thatdamnboy.frih.net/images/retrn.jpg
Also remember that if you freeze a slot which has a key or an emblem or anything like that then you can't get rid of the item when you use them or when you choose to discard them. In case you're stuck with any such things just dump them into your item box.
You can also "POKE" the tags to input whatever value you want. Like if you have the Magnum in the 3rd slot and you want more bullets then just poke it to a number that you want but remember that there is a max limit till which a gun can hold bullets and all. Its 72 for the Magnum, Shotgun it is 72 and for the Handgun its 24.
